The Now Playing List Songbird extension allows you to easily queue up songs from the library into a collapsible pane on the right, and then play them as a playlist. You can also save the list as a playlist if you like.
There are three modes to the now playing list: Basic, Queue and Custom, which you can cycle through by clicking the underlined title.
Basic
Displays the playlist that is currently playing.
Custom
Displays an ‘on the go’ playlist. This is not a permanent playlist but can be saved as a regular one.
Queue
The same as custom mode except that it will automatically start playing on the next track if it is not empty.

Now Playing List extension for Songbird. The Now Playing list contains all songs from the library. If you hold down Shift, you can cycle through the items in the list.
If you right click an item, you can add it to a playlist.
Getting Started:
1. Install the now playing list extension from the Options menu:

What’s New in the Now Playing List?

Now Playing List Songbird extension is a plugin to display the current song’s title and artist on the left hand side of the Songbird, showing you song information as they play. This extension can also be used to quickly add songs to a playlist.
Version 0.8.0pre supports the following features:
– display song information as the songs play
– queue a song up to 20 times
– create a playlist from a set of queued songs (press select to play these songs)
Version 0.7pre of Now Playing List does not:
– queue more than 20 songs

For those trying to reimport their favorites using the widget, note that they now appear in the history but not in the favorites list, so they have to be searched for manually.
And another thing, the import window still seems to be broken.

I just tried and could not locate the settings for my “steal and copy” functionality.
1. I have settings showing to only show 5 songs – when I got 5 songs, I found that many “steal and copy” showed on my song list.
2. Some of the “steal and copy” show on the side bar, when I press the “play” button, no sound. Could this be a feature not working on my system?
My songs are not showing as favorites, so I have to import them all over again?

Another thing for those who have the NowPlayingList with the album cover, please make the music cover visible by default. Currently, you have to right click on the track’s title and you have to select ‘Show Artwork’.
