Western blotting showed that UHRF1 expression was negatively correlated with miR-103 expression in HCC tissues. Overexpression of UHRF1 reversed the inhibitory effects of miR-103 on cell growth and invasion in HCC cells. Furthermore, in vivo and in vitro functional assays showed that UHRF1 was upregulated in HCC tissues. In addition, the proliferation and invasion of HCC cells were promoted by UHRF1 overexpression.
