Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.
AutoCAD 22.0 Free Download [Win/Mac]
The first AutoCAD release for the PC, AutoCAD 2014, was announced on April 25, 2014, with a software update released on October 2, 2015. The initial retail price was US$499, though it was soon discounted to $199, and a student discount was also announced. A stand-alone app was first introduced in December 2015.
AutoCAD is available for Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and macOS Sierra and later. The latest version is AutoCAD 2020.
AutoCAD was initially designed to operate on Hewlett-Packard HP-15s and HP-16s. It was later ported to HP-20s, HP-25s, HP-35s, HP-45s, and HP-47s. The OSR was then replaced by the OSR2 operating system, though the OSR would be reintroduced in version 2013 of AutoCAD.
This article discusses the history, development, and features of the AutoCAD product line.

History
The following timeline is based on the Autodesk knowledge base page, and includes the history of the AutoCAD product line.[1]
1982-1981
In 1981, AutoDesk was founded as a division of Xerox. The first release of AutoCAD was a two-dimensional drafting application built for the Xerox 3800 series of color printers. In October 1982, AutoDesk released AutoCAD for the Xerox 9700 series of printers. This release included a three-dimensional (3D) drafting application that was later incorporated into 2D drafting as “2.5D”. For reasons that are unclear, this version of AutoCAD was named “Drafting and Raster Graphics” (D&RG). In October 1983, the first version of AutoCAD for the PC was released. AutoDesk also released a version for the DOS-based IBM PC/XT. AutoDesk later launched an unsuccessful direct mail marketing campaign[2] to get business, using a PC with AutoCAD for office work.
AutoDesk’s first-generation port of AutoCAD was running under the brand name “Open System Raster”. (OSR)
1984
AutoDesk continued developing its first-generation port, OSR, and changed the company’s name to AutoDesk. In April 1984, the company released AutoCAD for the Apple II. AutoDesk also

In November 2005, the Autodesk Application Marketplace was launched with the ability to make AutoCAD Crack apps available to a worldwide audience.
Applications
After registering an account with Autodesk, the user can publish a custom application in the Autodesk Application Marketplace. The user can upload source code to the Autodesk Application Manager which checks the code for consistency and correct syntax and functionality. Once the source code is submitted, Autodesk publishes the application on the Autodesk Application Marketplace in the Autodesk Developer Network.
AutoCAD add-on applications are created from the same principles and terminology as Microsoft Visual Studio. They have two files: a.cs file that contains the logic and data storage of the application and a.dll file that enables the add-on to interface with AutoCAD and create functionality within it.
Once the add-on is uploaded to the Autodesk Application Marketplace, the user can submit the application to the Autodesk Exchange Apps for Windows or Mac. The application can also be downloaded via the Autodesk App Center for Windows or Mac.
Once the user has installed a registered add-on application, it is automatically recognized by AutoCAD. Autodesk Exchange Apps provide functionality to draw through multiple other applications, such as AutoCAD, and collaborate in real time with other registered users.
On October 20, 2008, Autodesk acquired Alias Systems Corporation and rebranded its technology as Alias|Wavefront. In September 2013, Autodesk announced the integration of Alias technologies into AutoCAD, as well as the integration of Alias|Wavefront’s Digital-to-Analog signal processing (DSP) technology with AutoCAD. This enabled the ability to perform a variety of geometric transformations and other signal processing tasks directly within AutoCAD.
Since 2012, Autodesk for Design Technology and Autodesk for Architecture and Construction have released modules of AutoCAD design functionality in their respective subscription products. These modules can then be used within other Autodesk products, such as Autodesk Inventor, Revit and Creo.
Unlike other applications, add-ons are not required to be free, and AutoCAD add-ons can be purchased individually.
In March 2015 Autodesk released an update that allowed for AutoCAD users to share their add-on creations via the Autodesk Exchange Apps program.
